What is INTESTACY?
An estate where there is no valid will, and where the law therefore directs who inherits your estate. A non-valid will would be a will that has not been written correctly or the will, has not been signed, dated or witnessed. It may also be that the person has not made a Will.
Intestacy creates significant difficulties for the family as it takes much longer (average 2 years) and is more expensive to sort out…. Not to mention the stress to loved ones who are already grieving.
